Coming in from the East (Raleigh and points East)
- Come in to Raleigh/Durham on I-40W
- On I-40, take the Aviation Pkwy Exit (Exit #285) and at the end of
the ramp turn away from the Airport (towards Morrisville/Cary)
- Go on Aviation for about 1.5 miles and it intersects with Route 54.
- Go straight through the intersection (Aviation becomes Morrisville-Carpenter
Rd.) and you should immediately go over a set of railway tracks (You
should see the Morrisville Fire Station on the right)
- After you go over the railway tracks, (within about 100 yds) turn
right on Church St. (its a really small road so be careful that you
don't miss it; if you see a Strip Mall on the left, you have missed the
turn)
- Go on Church for about 2 miles (its a pretty deserted road) till you
see a small graveyard & a baseball field on the right.
- Inbetween the graveyard and baseball field, there is a small driveway
on the right which leads straight into a parking lot. Turn into the
driveway.
- Drive to the far end of the parking lot and Shiloh Park is on the far side of the basketball court.
Coming in from the West (Durham and points West)
- Come in to Raleigh / Durham on I-40E
- On I-40E, take the Miami Blvd Exit (Exit #281) and turn left at the lights at the end of the ramp
on to Miami Boulevard. Miami Blvd. joins Hwy. 54 at the 2nd stop light. Keep proceeding on Miami Blvd. / Hwy. 54.
After about a mile you will arrive at a
large intersection where Miami Boulevard joins Highway 54. Drive straight
through the intersection and onto Hwy 54 East.
After approx. a mile (a lil' beyond "Quintiles" on your left) the road forks into Church Street
(goes to the right over railroad tracks) and Hwy. 54 (to the left). Stick to Hwy 54 East.
Continue for approx. 1.5 miles.
Slow down and you will see Barbee Road on your right. Turn on to Barbee Road
from Hwy. 54 and drive over the railroad tracks to the end of the road.
Turn left at the T-Junction on to Church St (Church on your right).
You will immediately see a baseball field on your left. Turn left on to the first driveway on the left (right after the baseball field)
which ends in a small parking lot.
Drive to the far end of the parking lot and Shiloh Park is on the far side of the basketball court.
Coming in from I-85
- Take I-85S toward Durham / Atlanta from I-95S, u have to travel ~120 miles till the exit mentioned below (if I remember correctly).
- Stay on I-85S (for a lil' under 2 hrs) till u get to the point where u will see signs for Hwy. 15/501. So, right after u see Guess Road and Hillandale Road exits, stay on the leftmost lane to avoid continuing on I-85S.
- Get off the 15/501 exit off I-85 and you will see signs for Hwy 147S right away, immediately get on to the rightmost lane and take the 2nd exit (first one is Hillsboro Road - skip this!) which says Hwy 147S - U HAVE TO BE QUICK HERE! :-). If you see Morreene Road exit, u have continued on to US Hwy. 15-501S and hence missed it. Take the next exit and get back on to 147S.
- Now, continue on 147S for about 10 -12 miles; u will pass exits like Ninth Street, Duke Street, Alston Ave., Research Triangle Park, etc to name a few - stay on the leftmost lane when u see signs for I-40 which will take u toward Raleigh (I-40 East).
- On I-40E, take the Miami Blvd Exit (Exit #281) and turn left at the lights at the end of the ramp on to Miami Boulevard. Miami Blvd. joins Hwy. 54 at the 2nd stop light after the exit ramp. Drive straight through the intersection on Hwy 54 East / Miami Blvd..
- After approx. a mile (a lil' beyond "Quintiles" on your left) the road forks into Church Street (goes to the right over railroad tracks) and Hwy. 54 (to the left). Stick to Hwy 54 East by staying on the leftmost lane.
- Continue for approx. 1.5 miles. Slow down and you will see Barbee Road on your right. Turn on to Barbee Road from Hwy. 54 and drive over the railroad tracks to the end of the road. If you see Morrisville Fire Dept. on your left, u have missed Barbee Rd., make a U turn.
- Turn left at the T-Junction on to Church St (Shiloh Baptist Church on your right).
- You will immediately see a baseball field on your left on Church St. Turn left on to the first driveway on the left (immediately after the baseball field) which ends in a small parking lot. Drive to the far end of the parking lot and Shiloh Park is on the far side of the basketball court.
